Meet a CSGer: Lucy

Outside-y but not outdoors-y

I like to consider myself outside-y but not outdoors-y. What does that mean? I love to be outside and one with nature – I would love to go for a beautiful hike, picnic in a park, and lay out on the beach, but you can’t catch me backpacking miles away from running water. I don’t ski (even though I’m a Colorado native), but you can definitely find me aprés-skiing. Essentially, I don’t like to rough-it.

Swiftie

I’m a big time swiftie. Like most twenty-something girls I love Taylor Swift! I remember clearly when her “Fearless Album” came out in elementary school and all the girls in my grade sang different songs at the talent show. Flash forward 15 years, and I still love her. I got the magical opportunity to go to my first Taylor Swift concert and it was indeed life-changing. I’m convinced Taylor has a song for every mood, life-event, or feeling you’ve ever felt. If anyone needs a song suggestion let me know!

Go Nuggets!

People may be surprised after hearing those last two facts that I also love basketball. I might even love the Denver Nuggets as much as I love Taylor Swift (yes this was the best summer ever with the Eras tour and a Nuggets championship). I cried tears of joy watching them win at McGregor Square this summer. I love how fast-paced basketball is, the excitement, the community of Nuggets fans, Jamal Murray. There’s nothing I don’t like about basketball (except maybe ESPN announcers and the Lakers).

Cool Aunt Lucy

I’m a proud Aunt of my niece and nephew – even though they live half-way across the world. My big sister moved to Australia 12 years ago and has now blessed me with my niece (Hayley, 6 years old) and my nephew (Micah, 3). I’m definitely their cool aunt, even though I’m their only aunt.

Concerts!

I love concerts! My first concert was Justin Bieber with my older brother. My most recent concert was the Chainsmokers at Red Rocks with my girl friends last week. Nothing excites me like putting on a cute outfit and dancing and scream-singing with my friends and family. My list of concerts from this summer includes Taylor Swift (of course) in Denver, and Lollapalooza in Chicago which included The Red Hot Chili Peppers, The 1975, Lil Yachty, Billie Eilish, Boogie Wit Da Hoodie, and Odesza.
